Mary Nilssen Mary Nilssen- Healthy Living & Healthy Lives
Who as I to talk about a health life plan? My claim to fame is based on my being very healthy in spite of living with a chronic illness for over 50 years, that is being a type one or insulin dependent diabetic of over 50 years. My experience: I am a credentialed professional in the field of Health Information Management (Registered Health Information Administrator) and have worked in this field as a director, manager, educator and consultant for the past thirty years. My main focus was working as a department head in a number of hospitals and consulting for colleges and DOH. My experiences have given me a great understanding of the strengths and weaknesses’ of our present health care delivery systems. In the U.S., our response to acute illness or trauma is unbeatable but our response to chronic illness is weak, and many with chronic illness feel hopeless, helpless or just overwhelmed or abandoned whether their diagnosis is diabetes, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, lung disease, etc. What’s different about me with my illness? I faced and worked through my worst fears of being diabetic when I was about 20 years old. This fear was that I would die or go blind from diabetic complications, I resolved this emotionally and decided that I would make a contribution through my career, and focused on this, freeing myself from the paralysis of fear. Imagine my surprise to be this old and this healthy, not what I had planned on. Two siblings with the same disease were not as fortunate. In order to maintain my health, I always sought our the best thinking in using natural alternatives to stay healthy. This is what I would like to share with you:
1) Illness begins and ends in your mind. Even though it can seriously affect your body, you can choose to have different results. We have several programs to help you change your thinking and ways to live a more balanced life. Balance includes meaningful goals in the key areas of life, Spiritual, Career, Financial, Family, Mental, Physical, and Social. FMI and to order, contact: mary.nilssen@verizon.net 2) You need a written Wellness Plan. It must become as important as planning for all of your key areas. Please request this free 10 step Wellness Plan by contacting me: mary.nilssen@verizon.net 3) Whole food supplements are critical to staying or getting healthy. We know that our food does not contain what it should or did to keep us healthy. Most products are grown quickly and no longer provide the volume of nutrients they were designed by our maker to provide. Based on my personal experience with Nikken.com nutritionals, I heartily recommend these and many of their other products. I have also become a Wellness Consultant. Their products also include a sleep system (rest and relaxation) air and water products (environment) and magnetic products that aid the body in circulation or healing from various injuries (fitness). We cannot say enough these products, they really work. FMI or to order go to: www.nikken.com/marynilssen Why are using these so critical today? We must use the best thinking and technologies to move us to have the strength and energy we need to enjoy our life. Without proper sleep or nutrients, our bodies cannot do the jobs required of them and they may deteriorate causing illness or disease. Then, we end up in the doctor’s offices and get their normal treatment modalities, medicine and surgery. Due to the risks associated with these, they should always be used as the last resort in treatment and not the first. |
