Gloria Valderrama-Boudreau was first introduced to the importing business in 1989. After attending Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, she joined the staff of a local U.S. Customs Brokerage firm at JFK Airport. Having had a taste of the business from the broker’s perspective, she decided to take an offer from Barneys New York to be their Import Coordinator, where she stayed for several years. Gloria finally realized that she greatly missed working in the Customs Brokerage end of the importing business, so she returned to work in Customs brokerage and Freight Forwarding with Masterpiece International, Ltd. and obtained her Customs Brokers’ license in 1998.

During her tenure of almost 12 years at Masterpiece International, Gloria was blessed to have been entrusted with the global transportation and handling of high end works of art, antiquities, and exhibitions for a number of Museum Registrars and Curators, Galleries, Private Collectors, Auction Houses, high end Interior Decorators and Artists. She considers herself extremely lucky to have been exposed to this wide and prestigious group which includes the likes of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Newark Museum, the Onassis Cultural Center, Christie’s, Sotheby’s, Wildenstein Gallery, Pace-Wildenstein Gallery, McKee Gallery, O’Sullivan Antiques, and the list of amazing cultural institutions goes on and on.

In 2007, Gloria decided to open her own business, Boudreau Fine Art Services LLC. She has maintained and continues to strengthen her network of fine art handlers, transporters, and overseas agents and continues to work with them to provide the transportation of high end artworks. Among the services she and her network may provide are packing and construction of specialized crates, transportation (over the road, by air, and by ocean), supervisory services, security services, transportation insurance, courier related services (courier air fare, hotel accommodations, advancement of per diem, customs clearance for hand-carried items), and as a licensed Customs Broker, Gloria personally provides the customs brokerage services to ensure that the works are timely executed through U.S. Customs and other Government Agencies.

From private collector to distinguished museum; whether it’s the purchase or consignment of an individual work of art, or the handling and transport of an entire exhibition, Gloria Valderrama-Boudreau is able to provide the services necessary to transport the work(s) from point of origin to its final destination.
