Lorraine Fisher Off Ramp Publishing
Lorraine Fisher is the proud mother of Emily, a smart, energetic and beautiful 3 year old girl. With professional experience in sales, sales training, fundraising, event planning, and governmental relations, Lorraine founded Off Ramp Publishing in 2005 as a vehicle for publishing her own books as well as those by other women writers and stories for children. She has written, published and promoted her first book and is gathering material for follow-up titles in her series of parenting books. In addition, Lorraine works as a freelance writer and is the cofounder of Buy Women, For Women, a shopping bazaar highlighting the products and services of women vendors.
Her speaking engagements and media appearances include those for The Parent Connection, a nonprofit parenting support network through Scripps Hospital, and Mom Writer’s Talk Radio, an internet talk radio show for “mom writers who have something to say.” Lorraine has done book signings in California and Pennsylvania and was interviewed on KGTV-10, San Diego’s ABC affiliate. After a year in print, Lorraine’s first self-published book – What Haven’t They Told Me? Practical Tips for Surviving and Thriving During Baby’s First Year – is already being sold by 30 stores in 10 states. It is also featured on Amazon and a number of other online retailers. Additional titles by Off Ramp Publishing include follow up books in the What Haven’t They Told Me? series as well as children’s stories and works by other women writers.
