Description:
Since May 2003 girls golf founder Annie Margulis, along with partner Paul Dundas, has taken women's golf clothing to a different playing field.

Margulis, an avid golfer with a passion for fashion and design recognized an irritating "style handicap" that women who spent a lot of time on the golf course had to contend with. She decided to change that, and a lot more.

My idea behind girls golf has always been that "women shouldn't have to stop looking and feeling like women just because they are playing golf," Margulis says. "I want girls golf to give women the feeling of being in a club." The feeling that you're part of something fun, like a sisterhood or sorority. And the women's fashion industry has taken note of girls golf's bold, fun, elegant and feminine approach to women's clothing. The line consists primarily of comfortable cotton/LYCRA blends that are designed to move and flow with the wearer. Their prints and patterns are creative and visually appealing which makes for great casual wear off the golf course as well, with many women who have never swung a club becoming fans of the line.

Today, girls golf products are sold at elite country clubs and boutiques from Bermuda to California. Leading magazines, such as, Golf for Women and Self, have featured girls golf attire alongside products by fashion icons Lacoste and Lilly Pulitzer.

Girls Golf is also making a name for itself in Europe through a partnership in Munich and is being seen and talked about around the globe.

Annie Margulis was an invited speaker at Women Who Launch 2006, a luncheon sponsored by Crain's Business Publications. Annie continues to devote her spare time to her family, and of course, golf, whenever she can.
